Panthers defender Bruce Grey signs with the NOJHL’s Kirkland Lake Gold Miners

The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce that defender Bruce Grey has signed with the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Kirkland Lake Gold Miners to play junior A hockey for the 2023-24 season.

Grey is a 2005-born blueliner from West Vancouver, B.C. who finished 2022-23 with three goals and 23 assists for 26 points in 45 games. His point total was the best among all defenders on the Panthers roster this past season.

His 26 points were also first in rookie scoring on the team and his nine power play assists were tops among all Panthers players. Grey also had two, four-game point streaks during the season and never went more than four games without registering a point. He also represented the Panthers and the Pacific Junior Hockey League at the inaugural British Columbia Hockey Conference Prospects Game last November.

The 6-foot-1, 190 lbs. defender is the fifth player from last season’s Panthers team to advance to a higher level, joining forwards Jobey Pearson (OJHL), Dylan Emerson (BCHL), and Ryden Mathieson (BCHL) and defender Johnny Lopez (OJHL). Grey is the 10th player in the last three years to sign with a Major Junior or junior A team from the Panthers.
